At every Professionals Guild Party we choose a few individuals to be greeters (hosts) for about 1 hour. Greeters Receive Free Admission. Being a greeter (host) is not difficult or complicated and generally involves assisting with name tags or handing out the Ice breaker instructions, or checking hand stamps (or name tags) or wrist bands as people enter, or other registration activities. Free admission is attractive, but keep in mind, we prefer greeters who are responsible like to smile and make eye contact, who are cheerful, out going, playful, enjoy small talk and making people feel welcome, etc.

==>Being a greeter is a commitment. If you agree to be a greeter for a party we will be depending on you; it is NOT OK to make other plans once you have made a commitment to be a greeter for a specific party.

Your name tag will identify you as a greeter. So when you’re finished helping at the registration area, please continue to act as a host/greeter in the party area. When you mingle and dance, smile, make eye contact, initiate conversation, make introductions!

Also, greeters are expected to be members of ProGuildSocial.com (a free social networking website). Greeters help promote the party. This can be done by telling (or emailing) friends and colleagues about the party or maybe passing out extra copies of invitations or posting them on bulletin boards, and so on.
